The three main simple steps to follow are firstly to capture, secondly thwap and finally to play. The Thwapr is a straightforward application which is meant for the mobile users. This Thwapr allows its users to share the media that they have captured like the images and videos without the need of downloading anything or getting engaged into any unnecessary complicated operation.
The service works for the users of both United States and Canada. The two main advantages of the Thwapr is that it is free and has no requirement of downloading. There is always been a demand for the tools that makes sharing the mobile contents a doodle especially among the youth.
To share the videos on the web is very easy as you can upload to either the YouTube or the Facebook and then sending a link. You can also share the videos via mobile phones as the iPhone makes it very easy by allowing you to upload the videos directly to the YouTube but still an issue rises on how to share these videos privately. To send videos between the phones is a tedious task. A solution to this problem is launched in beta called the Thwapr. It allows you to simply upload the videos from your phone to the Web and then you can either text or email a link to your friends.
The Thwapr already works with about 165 phones from both the iPhones and the Androids to Blackberries and the Samsung. Once you sign up, you can email your photos or videos to the Thwapr and then share them from there to any mobile phone that would support links in text messages. You can select the contacts by their name as you add them to the Thwapr. The recipients receive a text message along with a link that would open up their mobile browser and would take them to the Thwapr’s mobile website. Here they can see the shared photo or video and then “Thwap” back a response by creating a conversation around the image. Each mobile video has to be 20 MB or less.
The videos are delivered based on the type of phone the viewer is using in a variety of ways. In the iPhone, they come as progressive downloads that opens in the Quicktime player. All the other phones supports streaming video. The older Blackberries gets the video as a file download and Thwapr can deliver the videos as a rough animated gif images for the phones which cannot handle anything else.
