Pegshot: Share your experience with others in real time
Pegshot is a photo or video service that allows your friends and family to experience what is happening where you are. It helps you to instantly share the images that we take of our lives with the people who we care about.
In this site you can Peg your photos and videos on a map, Upload the shots on ‘the go’ or later with the WiFi, Tag your location at places and events and also Share your shots via your favourite social networks like Facebook, Orkut, Myspace etc. The Pegshot also puts your video message on a map. The Bio Pegshot helps you in sharing the geo-tagged videos and photo in the real-time. Now you can show your friends and family what’s happening where ever you are at that instant.
People who own an iPhone or an Android, the Pegshot feature you to share your current whereabouts with anybody you like. That is, using the Pegshot you can upload a picture or video and have it geo-tagged. Then you can share this with your family and acquaintances. The photos can be uploaded the instant they are taken or later with the help of WiFi. They are displayed sequentially. That is, they are displayed in the very same order you have uploaded them instead of in jumbled order. Networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter are supports this feature. The Pegshot operates both as a Website and as a complementary iPhone app. The photos and videos taken on iPhone can be send as a message via a link on the Twitter or Facebook. Once this link is clicked, they are taken to a page on the Pegshot where they can watch the video or see the photos next to a map showing from where it was taken. Comments can be added to this shot.
You can sign up for account and start following other users. You can follow the users on the Twitter and Facebook that demands for a reciprocal two-way acknowledgement. You can title the photos you take and add captions to it. You can also easily email a Pegshot link from the app. But Pegshot faces some limitations such as you cannot use your Facebook or Twitter ID to sign in or import your existing friends from those services. It only allows you to broadcast out to those services. Similarly, though the iPhone app makes it easy for you to take a shot and upload it, you can’t use it to check out other people’s shots.
