The Mozilla Foundation declared today about the release of the final version: Firefox 3.6. It says the latest version of Firefox introduces next-generation features, support for a wide variety of web standards (with support for audio and video via HTML 5), and access to more than 6 thousand add-ons for free.

After the internal test performed, Firefox 3.6 is at least 20% faster than version 3.5. There have been several improvements to speed up work with e-mail, load photos and social networking, among other tasks. The browser also gained in stability, ensures Mozilla.

In the list of new features are custom themes, called Personas, an updater plug-ins, better performance with JavaScript, and small touches, like the Awesome bar to highlight your favorite sites.

The Firefox 3.6 is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux in over 70 languages, including Portuguese from Brazil.
