1. Organize Images – No correction
   i2k Quickage Pro generates a panorama (or a montage) in a series of steps that are not visible by the users. In the first step, the software automatically detects which photos belong together, places the images with respect to the location, and merges them. This step is called “image registration”. It uses “DualAlign’s highly-advanced, proprietary i2align algorithm”, which has been used in medical and government applications.
2. Distortion Correction
   In the next step, i2k Quickage Pro corrects all distortions that has resulted from image registration process, straightening and flattering the montage, etc. Though the wide combined field of view does not allow complete straightening, the result, shown on the right, which is far better than what would be obtaining by the use of an extremely wide-angle lens used to capture the same field of view.
3. Smart Blend – Seam Selection
   i2k Quickage Pro removes the small misalignments and ghost images of people moving in the foreground caused by the use of  a hand-held camera.. Another proprietary algorithm is applied so that we can choose seams to avoid steer clear of movement and misalignments. The blending regions between pictures are also specified which allow smooth transitions between pictures while preserving even the finest details.
4. Camera Correction
   Even though the seam selection and blending are good enough, we still can have brightness differences between pictures, especially when we are taking photos using a cell-phone camera or automatic exposure. i2k Quickage Pro’s camera and lens analysis software helps in correcting these differences and create final bright and colorful image which simultaneously preserves the value of the original image as much as possible. The result we obtain is seamless.
5. The Final, Auto-Cropped Result
   Finally, i2k Quickage Pro must still be able to create images such that they appears to be a single one.
   Though users are free to save the montages and crop them later themselves, i2k Quickage Pro alloews users to automatically crop the montage by locating the largest rectangle that it feels fits inside the un-cropped montage.
